With the Performance Management Framework (PMF) Dashboard Designer, you can more intuitively and simply assemble performance dashboards. Capabilities include drag-and-drop palettes, a visual catalog of information gadgets, and seamless and automatic gadget alignment.
Users can gadgetize any WebFOCUS operational report or application in PMF. This allows content to be placed on any dashboard, and enables dimensional and metric parameters to be configured so they can be passed to the operational report. PMF’s dashboard surface supports any Web 2.0 third-party Gadgets (e.g., iGoogle, Yahoo, or your own web mini-apps) and lets them all participate in dashboard mashups without your requiring additional development work from dashboard designers.
Users can create private dashboards by making a private copy of any public dashboard in the system. Private dashboards can be altered, including changing gadgets by dragging them from the catalog, remove one or more gadgets, and repositioning or resizing existing gadgets.
With InfoAssist, WebFOCUS’ ad hoc reporting tool, PMF users can create pixel-perfect ad hoc reports, charts, and dashboards that also can be gadgetized. InfoAssist supports more than 350 data sources including cubes like MicroSoft SQL Server Analysis Services, SAP Business Intelligence Warehouse, and Oracle Essbase; in several formats like PDF, Excel, and Active Dashboard; and with scheduling and distribution capabilities for delivery via e-mail, to a reporting archive, printer, or FTP site.
